Los Angeles School Police Department Earthquake Preparedness Reminder

Los Angeles School Police Department (LASPD) would like to raise the school and community’s level of awareness as it relates to earthquake preparation.

We ask that parents, teachers, staff, and administrators put a plan in place, and practice the plan so everyone is familiar with what to do in the event of a major seismic event.

Additionally, make sure that you have an emergency survival kit that contains: water, canned food, flashlight, batteries, am/fm radio with LED light, first aid kit, dusk mask, gloves, bandages, a knife, and other essential items to you and/or your family’s survival.

LASPD encourages everyone to have a plan, practice the plan, and always update your plan on a regular basis.
