Los Angeles School Police Department Keeping Our Safe Passages Clean

Los Angeles School Police Department (LASPD) Central Division officers recovered a stolen vehicle 100 feet from Santee Education Complex perimeter. Officers recovered the vehicle, and returned it, to its rightful owner. The removal of the vehicle prevents crimes of opportunity from occurring involving our students.

When a stolen vehicle is left abandoned in our safe passage areas, they create an eyesore for the school-community, and often used by criminal street gangs to commit other crimes on behalf of their gang.

Upon recovering the vehicle, officers notify the school principal of the recovery as part of the Department’s information-sharing.
