LAUSD AND OPERATION SCHOOL BELL HELP HOMELESS STUDENTS FROM HOOPER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND OTHER LAUSD STUDENTS
WHAT: At the beginning of every school year, the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Homeless Education Program is flooded with requests for school uniforms throughout the District for homeless students. The partnership with Operation School Bell on Wheels allows the District to serve our neediest families. About 200 elementary-age homeless students will receive uniforms and backpacks. Roughly, 50 students from Hooper and 150 students District-wide will be served. The students have been pre-selected and will be brought to the event by counselors and other support staff.
