LAUSD Recognized for Improving Health Care Access to Students

Tonight, LAUSD is being recognized by the Los Angeles County Medical Association for its work in improving health care access for students through its school based health clinics and mobile programs.   Click the link above for more on the event!

School-Based Health Clinics Program

The Los Angeles Unified School District Human Services Division and the Facilities Services Division joined efforts to develop school-based health clinics program that deliver quality health, mental health, and human services accessible by students to help them achieve a higher level of well-being.  Through a network of medical service providers and community partners, LAUSD operates 33 school-based clinics and 99 mobile clinics.  Fifteen new wellness centers and the 99 mobile van sites have been funded by innovation school construction bond funds.  This effort provides the most underserved student populations with access to quality healthcare.
