YOU’RE INVITED TO HANCOCK PARK SCHOOL’S 75TH!
Known for being the bedrock of a neighborhood by so many generations, Hancock Park School will host a community event celebrating its international population and 75th anniversary as an outstanding neighborhood school.
The family-friendly celebration, which is free and open to the public, features musical performances, a children’s cultural parade, food for purchase from ethnically diverse food trucks, a LACMA-led art project for kids and more. Special guests include Councilman Tom LaBonge, Board Member Steve Zimmer, Principal Ashley Parker, school alumni and students.
Founded in 1937, Hancock Park School provides premiere public education to grades k-5 with the fundamental goal of “inspiring lifelong learners.” More than two-dozen languages are spoken at Hancock Park School, creating a unique environment where both multi-generational families and recent immigrants find a home and enjoy a quality education. It is this multi-cultural experience that inspired the theme of the 75th Anniversary celebration.
