2012-2013 LAUSD “I’m In” School Attendance Challenge Encourages Students to be in School Every Day!
The LAUSD School Attendance Challenge aligns with the District’s student attendance goal of improving attendance at every grade level and students are recognized district-wide for monthly and year-long perfect attendance. Schools are also recognized for best and most improved school attendance throughout the year. In the month of October there were 188,285 students with 100% attendance. In the month of November there were 232,883 students with 100% attendance. In the month of December there were 273,082 students with 100% attendance.
As specified in the Eligibility Requirements and Guidelines, K-12 students with perfect attendance for the previous month will be placed on an eligibility list and entered into a randomly selected drawing to receive monthly prizes. There are multiple prize winners each month. In the month of October prizes were awarded to 600 students. In the months of November and December, prizes were awarded to 550 students. Students with perfect attendance for the month of January will be entered into a drawing and 504 students will be randomly selected to win a January prize.
2012-2013 LAUSD “I’m In” School Attendance Challenge runs from October 2012 through April 2013. Grand prizes announced in May 2013.
